Unauthorized Access to Information

Hackers could gain unauthorized access to information in many different ways but here are some to lookout for. One can be text or calls that have you click/give information based on what they are looking for. They try to make it look as real as possible but by clicking on links you can download viruses and harmful data on your device. They use important messages that make it seem like you have to do something to fix it but it really is a scam. Another common way is just for them to hack their way inside your network. If not protected or old, it makes it easier for hackers to gain access to your device and/or software with little to no effort. If there is nothing in place to prevent them from doing so it could be something you might have to worry about. But it could be that they simply overwhelm the network where there is too many people or information that weakens the network. It is commonly used with older versions but it can really happen to any device. A way to protect yourself is through limiting the amount of information and access to your network. It makes it so that only a certain amount of people have access to your personal information and only they are able to access the information. But sometimes it isn't your fault and someone hacks into your system. In this case you can have your information encrypted so it is harder for hackers to gain access to the information. As well as firewalls or other systems that keep hackers out of your network. Being able to update your software and versions can help prevent these viruses too because it wouldn't be outdated and easier to break through. An example is using an older version of a computer and never updating the software. This could lead to little things to trigger it and damage your computer rather than the new ones that take much more to damage the device.
